Description

Build a striking display piece with the ROKR Luminous Globe ST003. This detailed 3D wooden model combines a vintage-style globe, working gears, a movable magnifying glass and warm lighting in one rewarding project.

The kit contains 180 wooden pieces and takes around 4–8 hours to assemble. In addition, ROKR rates the build at four out of five for difficulty, so it offers a satisfying challenge for experienced model builders and older teens.

Once complete, turn the wheel and knob to move the globe and its magnifier. The 25 mm orbital magnifying glass provides 3× magnification, which lets you explore the map in greater detail. Meanwhile, the gear-driven movement adds another hands-on element to the finished model.

The translucent map also highlights famous cities. Then, when you switch on the light, a warm glow shines through the globe and turns the model into a decorative night light. A Micro USB connection provides continuous power, and a USB power cable comes with the kit.

At approximately 16.7 × 20.3 × 29.3 cm when finished, it makes an impressive piece for a desk, bookshelf or study. Therefore, it works just as well as home decor once the building experience is complete.
